From childhood, Japan has held me in its enchanting grip. My parents, frequent visitors to this magical land for work, returned with treasures that ignited my imagination. 

During one memorable encounter, a visiting Japanese artist demonstrated calligraphy before us. In that serene moment, the potency of meditation became tangible, weaving its spell around me. 

Guided by the spirit of exploration, I delved into Kurinuki, an intricate carving technique, and merged it with the finesse of wheel-thrown pieces. Each creation pays homage to heritage, while echoing the whispers of contemporary innovation. The result is a harmonious interplay between past and present, breathing new life into a time-honored craft.
